Applications have opened for the Unreal Engine Real-Time Short Film Challenge.
Funds are for the production of short films that use Epic Games’ Unreal Engine software.
Available to South Australian content creators from film, television and games. Epic Games encourage Deaf and disabled people to apply.
Content creators must:
• explore new forms of storytelling by:
• engaging with innovative technologies
• experimenting with new forms of technology
• using alternate methods of storytelling
What is on offer?
You can apply for up to $20,000 in production grant funding to create a short film (max. five minutes) which uses Epic Games’ Unreal Engine software.
Epic Games are offering free Unreal Engine software training sessions to potential applicants. 10 August – 24 August 2020. To register for Epic Games’ free Unreal Engine training program go to the Epic Games website.
Epic Games will judge the final short films. The national winner will receive a $50,000 prize provided by Epic Games, at their discretion.

Applications open: Monday, 3 August 2020
Applications close: Monday, 31 August 2020
Who can apply?
Applicants must be:
· South Australian residents.
· experienced creative teams with experience in film, television and/or games
Epic Games encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
