The weekly program supports artists to develop their art practice by providing a space to work, professional guidance, quality materials and ways to exhibit and sell their work. The artists' work is promoted as belonging to the broad spectrum of contemporary art, and studio artists are represented in mainstream art exhibitions and events.

The program operates on a sessional basis from Monday to Friday. Artists can choose to come as often as they like according to their level of interest or other commitments. Attendance can range from one full day per week through to fulltime.
