The weekly program supports artists to develop their art practice by providing a space to work, professional guidance, quality materials and ways to exhibit and sell their work. The artists' work is promoted as belonging to the broad spectrum of contemporary art, and studio artists are represented in mainstream art exhibitions and events.
The program operates on a sessional basis from Monday to Friday. Artists can choose to come as often as they like according to their level of interest or other commitments. Attendance can range from one full day per week through to fulltime.
The studio is staffed by practicing contemporary artists and caters for a wide variety of individual needs and abilities. Staff provide a moderate level of disability support. Artists with high support needs can be accompanied by their own carer or support worker. Staff have training in Key Word Sign and Auslan interpretation is provided at exhibition openings and events.
