Bus Stop Films are dedicated to building the confidence, English skills and life ready skills of people with an intellectual disability and others from marginalised communities, through giving them access to a ‘film school experience’.
We seek to teach students all about film studies both the craft skills and theoretical concepts too.
Our programs are taught by passionate filmmakers and industry experts to give our students a holistic filmmaking learning experience.
Students who participate in our programs benefit from exclusive workshops, excursions, mentoring with industry professionals and the opportunity to work collaboratively on a film project.
This program is delivered in partnership with Information Cultural Exchange.
Accessibility
Venue Access
The front door is located at the top of a slight ramp. It is automatic and opens outwards.
Intercom is located at the front door for after-hours access at a height suitable for wheelchair users (please note that after ringing intercom, guest must move back to allow door to open)
1st and 2nd floors can be accessed via elevator located in the front foyer. Please note that the elevator button must be held down to travel up to the 1st and 2nd floors
All bathrooms including accessible bathrooms are located on the ground floor.
Accessible bathroom includes change-table facilities and an accessible shower.
Air-conditioning is installed in all of the spaces except for the Event Space.
Doors at the back of the building can be opened to allow fresh air to circulate.
Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and sound sensitive people: Specific software enquiries can be directed to it@ice.org.au
I.C.E. can be loud at times and noise does carry throughout the building
