Illuminating the connections between us
Spark your imaginations to light up and celebrate what brings us together!
Join Polyglot Theatre and Flow Festival Australia for a creative bi-lingual (Auslan and English) and bi-cultural exploration into identity and community.
Move, make and play with families and artists from Polyglot Theatre and Flow Festival Australia who invite us to ask, who are we? And how do we weave our stories?
Take part in shared drawing, experiment and play with simple and sensory materials to build new worlds and come together to explore through movement.
Catch the Light is a bi-lingual (Auslan and English) and bi-cultural look into how we see ourselves and how we relate to the world through community.
About: This workshop is bilingual and delivered in Auslan and spoken English. Auslan interpreters will be available to support communication needs of participants. Polyglot Theatre and Flow Festival Australia are working together to make a new arts experience for children and families who are Deaf/hard of hearing. These workshops are part of that creative process.
Age: Children aged 3-12 years who are Deaf/hard of hearing, and/or have Deaf/hard of hearing parents/carers. Siblings are also welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. If you are bringing more than one child, we recommend that extra adults attend.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its arts funding and advisory body.
