Are you a South Australian screen producer, writer or director? The South Australian Film Corporation's Film Lab: New Voices program opens again for applications in October 2021. Film Lab: New Voices is a low-budget feature film skills development program. It is designed to discover and encourage the next generation of diverse, South Australian filmmaking talent.

South Australian filmmaking teams chosen for the program will undergo 12 months of mentoring to develop a low-budget feature film script. One successful project will be chosen to move into production for premiere at the 2024 Adelaide Film Festival.

Program and Opportunity Access

The SAFC is committed to supporting increased participation of people from groups underrepresented in the South Australian screen industry including; female identifying writers and directors, First Nations practitioners, practitioners from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, Deaf or disabled practitioners, practitioners from LGBTQIA+ communities and practitioners from regional and remote areas of South Australia. The Film Lab: New Voices program requires each creative team include at least one member from a group listed above.
