Linden News Art is proud to present the inaugural JUNCTURE Art Prize winners - Vittoria Di Stefano and Shivanjani Lal.
Vittoria is premiering new work Pears on a Willow - a site-specific sculptural installation that explores poetics of domestic spaces and their embedded histories. Pears on a Willow asks us to examine our homes; the history, survival and love housed within.
Shivanjani brings Mere Porvaj [I am Remembering] an exhibition on the labour of women through the artist’s exploration of the sari. Lal uses storytelling, objects and video to account for lost histories and explore narratives of indenture and migratory histories from the Indian and Pacific oceans.
The JUNCTURE Art Prize supports radical thinking, conversations, and change, for both the artist and audience.
