Ensemble Q presents Mozart for Mums this Mother’s Day, a special afternoon concert designed as the ultimate treat, for mums, and anyone who has ever had one.
Joined by ABC Classic’s Ed Le Brocq, the program centres around Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, performed by Ensemble Q with celebrated clarinettist Paul Dean.
Performed at University of Queensland’s stunning GHD Auditorium, the multi award winning environmentally conscious building is situated overlooking the recently refurbished lake, allowing audience members to enjoy the performance with the stunning natural backdrop adorning the huge stage windows.
The performance also features a new work by 2026 Composer in Residence Anne Cawrse, paired with narration from Le Brocq’s own published story Sonam and the Silence, alongside a whimsical adaptation of Michael Leunig’s Curly Pyjama Letters, set by Calvin Bowman.
