Rollercoaster Theatre challenges stereotypes of disability through inclusive arts. We provide a platform for Neurodivergent performers and actors with intellectual disabilities to create groundbreaking theatre and film, fostering empowerment and autonomy. Based in Melbourne, Australia and led by theatre and film professionals, our work celebrates diversity, while amplifying marginalised voices and reshaping the artistic mainstream.
As a Rollercoaster ensemble member, you’ll train weekly in a supportive and inclusive environment, learning the fundamentals of professional acting training and engaging in the creative process of theatre-making, film, and multidisciplinary art.
Develop your performance skills, grow in confidence, and contribute to professional productions all while connecting with a vibrant creative community.
Each weekly session begins with an opportunity to socialise and build connections, followed by structured creative workshops with plenty of breaks to relax and recharge. Our program runs on Mondays (excluding public holidays), across four terms throughout the year, with new members encouraged to join at the start of a term.
