Performance in the Gallery - drama workshops for everyone!

In this exciting partnership with Artspace, Mackay participants with and without disability will be invited to respond through drama, movement and music to their current exhibition, 'Catherine Truman: No surface holds' . Come along and learn new skills, build your confidence and make new friends in a safe, fun and inclusive environment!

Workshops are suitable for those 18yrs + with and without disability. All levels of ability and experience are welcome!

Program and Opportunity Access

The main venue 55 Wood Street features a large hall with timber flooring, fans and air conditioning. Participants are welcome to have a look at the space or meet with facilitators prior to the workshop. This venue is off a main street in the city close to cafes and eateries.

There are scheduled visits to Artspace Mackay which is a wheelchair accessible venue with accessible toilets and an adjoining cafe. The gallery is situated near a garden and outdoor area if people would like to take a break. The venue is typically quiet.

There is parking along Wood St close to the venue. There is also a lane way beside the hall if people would prefer to be dropped off. There is also a taxi rank 100 meters away. Additionally, there is a bus stop 350 meters on Gregory Street.

Artspace Mackay
Artspace Mackay has accessible parking bays available and a loading zone for drop offs. It is 350 meters from the Gregory Street bus stop.
