After writing a book, filming a TV show, becoming an uncle, surviving the plague and going slightly mad, Tom Ballard is back with a hot new show – just for you.

'[The audience’s] laughter was to Ballard’s jokes what applause and chants are at a Trump rally.' Holly Lawford-Smith

'Brave, biting, ballsy and ultimately, brilliant. ★★★★★' Time Out

'Has a frankly ridiculous ability to hit all his marks and deftly detonate every punchline. ★★★★½' The Age

'Unrelenting and uproarious. ★★★★½' Chortle (UK)

'Much of his stand-up is about as funny as listening to a recording of one of Joe Stalin’s four-hour rants.' Gerard Henderson, The Australian

Accessibility

Event Access

Buy the Auslan price type if your group requires a clear view of the Auslan Interpreter. Normal concession rules apply.

Please see How to Book Your Ticket if you require step-free and/or wheelchair access in Banquet Room and if you have any questions about the MobiLift. For more venue information, please see FMV Venue Information.

Venue Access

The entrance to Banquet Room is through the main foyer and the performance space is on the Basement level. There is a staircase to the left of the reception desk of approx. 10+ steps down to the Basement level and the performance space. There are then 4 more steps down to the performance space.

For step-free/wheelchair access, there are lifts on the right of the foyer down to the Basement level. Proceed past the Acacia Room through the basement foyer and then there is a MobiLift operated by Comedy Festival Front of House staff to allow for step-free/wheelchair access down to the performance space. Please note: the MobiLift has a maximum capacity of 275 kgs and therefore has limitations in terms of the weight and size of the wheelchair that the lift can accommodate. Patrons may need to transfer into a manual wheelchair that is provided if the manual lift does not cater to the weight/size of their mobility aid. Please advise if this is going to affect your experience adversely and we will do everything possible to rectify the situation.

Accessible seating is available on the right-hand side of the performance space, close to the manual lift. Accessible bathrooms are available on the Basement level next to Acacia Room and on Level 1 next to the Boardroom.
