Factory Arts offers inclusive art activities for artists with disabilities in an authentic, artist-led space in the old Fletcher Jones factory. Participants create art drawn from their own experiences, and work alongside other local artists. We work to help our artists engage, participate, interact and feel included, and offer participants the chance to develop skills and produce quality artistic outcomes.

Our studio activities include painting, pottery, drawing and sculpture, and we offer a no-obligation trial class to check if the participant enjoys working with us and our activities. We run Mentors & Makers, an annual group exhibition for artists with disabilities, and include our artists in other planned group exhibitions in Melbourne and regional centres.

Program and Opportunity Access

An orientation of our studio and a free introduction session can be provided - please call us to arrange a suitable time. People requiring one-on-one support are welcome to attend with their own support person.

Venue Access

Drop off point is the Flaxman Street driveway between the Fletcher Jones gardens and factory building. Our signage is limited due to heritage requirements, but look for the white signpost and signs at the Flaxman Street driveway entrance, and enter via the access/wheelchair ramp at the end of the driveway.
