The Artlands Conversation Series is a curated program of critical conversations drawing on themes of cultural landscapes and creative ideas playing out across the nation and submissions to the Artlands 2020 call for papers. Like Artlands the conversation series will reflect and respond to emerging trends in regional practice, providing a narrative of art as social change and the articulation of cultural identity.

The digital platform will allow for diverse audience engagement through greater accessibility, continuity and connection across the nation.

The Artlands Conversation Series heralds a new long-term approach to the delivery of this critical national event to carry a trajectory between conferences and across conversations.

Program and Opportunity Access

For accessibility reasons we understand you may need to watch the conversations outside of the specified time or require longer viewing. We are pleased to confirm we will be uploading the sessions onto our You Tube channel after each event. While these will not be available immediately, we will post links on the website once they available for viewing. Transcripts of the conversations will also be available after the event.

Focus

  • Social and community participation

Other Focus

Artlands long-term focus has established a tradition in which artists, arts workers and organisations in regional and remote Australia can come together for professional development and engagement in national conversations. These conversations are designed to champion best practice, build connection, generate exchange and strengthen a national network of regional artists and communities.
