Steel City Strings presents a program inspired by the upcoming exhibition at the Shoalhaven Regional Art Gallery – Death Love Art explores how people mourn and remember those we love and how artists respond to the emotional devastation of death.
Our performance delves into consciousness and the spark of life as well as grief and loss – the music is both contemplative and inspirational so we hope it will encourage you to reflect on the themes of love and death.
Featuring Nick Russoniello saxophonist and composer in the World Premiere of Body & Soul – a Concerto for Saxophone and String Orchestra commissioned for this concert. Other music by Ross Edwards, Peteris Vasks, Graeme Koehne and the award-winning Caroline Shaw.
