Tarilindy String Quartet performs as part of the Relaxed Performance series.
Emerging as one of Australia's most outstanding young quartets, the Tarilindy String Quartet has a fierce passion for chamber music. Performing both nationally and internationally, this award-winning ensemble studied under the guidance of Sophie Rowell at the Australian National Academy of Music. The Tarilindy String Quartet (TSQ) formed in 2021 as students of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University where the ensemble went on to win the 4MBS Ross Peter's Chamber Music Competition. They have performance with the Australian String Quartet in Paul Stanhope's octet Naphesh, with acclaimed Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo player William Barton, as part of the Bendigo Chamber Music Festival, and with singer-songwriter Katie Noonan.
Promoting a casual approach to sound and movement, the Centre’s series of Relaxed Performances provides the same exceptional artists, in an environment specifically suited for audiences with sensory sensitivities.
