Mosaic Table Lamp Workshop Melbourne

Unwind from your busy day with this relaxing Turkish mosaic class and enjoy a delicious dessert and coffee experience from our lovely crafty cafe in place. In this hands-on class, you'll make your very own adorable mini mosaic lamp!

Located at Master Cafe in Melbourne's city centre, you'll enjoy an wide range cafe menu that includes breakfast, lunch, dessert Turkish baklava (with pistachio), Sutlach (traditional Turkish rice pudding) and a delicious Turkish coffee, before you get to dive into the mesmerising world of Turkish mosaics!

After this delightful dessert, you’ll learn the art of traditional Turkish mosaic making. Learn about the techniques of a 500-year-ancient craft and practice assembling Islamic geometric patterns as well as historic techniques for laying the tiles (tesserae). Using your selected geometric template, you will be guided to create and take home your very own traditional Turkish mosaic!

Our workshops are customisable to meet the interests and needs of your group. We offer personalised workshops perfect for private functions, welfare groups and corporate packages. Gift vouchers are also available and are the perfect gift solution for family and friends. Classes are held every day of the weekend, every week!

Please note:
You can grout/plaster your piece at home, and we will provide all the materials and instructions to complete this final step at home. Please allow up to half a day for the drying and grout/plastering process.
If you wish to have Art Masterclass plaster your mosaic, there is an additional $10 for a plastering service fee. After seven days, you may pick your lamp up at our studio during our workshop hours, or we may post it to you for $10.
There is a $150 private surcharge for in-studio events and a $25pp surcharge for all mobile classes around Sydney.
There are only limited spots in the class. If there is a visitor coming with you, please let us know two days in advance. A maximum of two visitors is allowed for the workshop and there is $30pp visitor fee. No visitor will be accepted for the dessert and coffee part of this event.
