Nikodimos and his Orchestra explore unorthodox approaches to orchestral music. They activate unconventional spaces with deep and spiritually charged music. This is a rare appearance by an accomplished ensemble, presenting a soundscape of moments of improvisation underwritten by a unique score. With standout talents like Tamil Rogeon on Viola, Komang on Vocals and Annwen Roberts on Violin, they perform original compositions with and by Nikodimos, a compelling woodwind player with a technicoloured essence.

Also performing on the night will be composer Aarti Jadu in collaboration with creative technologist Joli Boardman. Aarti Jadu and Joli Boardman’s practices converge on stage through live light and sound to bring an entrancing performance that submerges the audience into their exploration of the world under the horizon line. Aarti's sound dynamically ebbs in the realm of cinematic and experimental, with fluid rhythms that dance between and beyond expectation, accented by spoken expressions of the inner voice and intimate prayers in the form of soliloquies. To evoke the essence of this inner world, Joli responds with a seamless interplay of visualisations and lasers, exploring themes of duality and darkness with beams which cut across the space, expanding and contracting the scene.
