Two women, two moments, two lives changed forever.
The creative team behind Opera Queensland's smash-hit The Marriage of Figaro returns to bring this powerful double bill to life.
The Call is inspired by a remarkable true story about a woman left with nothing but a phone number. She dials, someone answers and so begins a conversation that changes everything.
The Human Voice finds our protagonist, Elle, alone and motionless in a room. She goes to leave but is stopped by the phone ringing. It is the love of her life. Rather than compassion she is confronted with a truth she finds impossible to accept.
The Call is an astonishing new Australian opera, composed by Connor D'Netto with Kate Miller-Heidke, and starring Ali McGregor, which shows how a single act of kindness can transform an entire life. Based on an original story told by Auburn Sheaffer.
The Human Voice, starring Alexandra Flood, will be accompanied by a full strength Queensland Symphony Orchestra, conducted by rising star in the international music scene, Zoe Zeniodi.
Two incredible pieces, both serving as a poignant reminder that although we're more connected than ever before, we've never been lonelier.

Each theatre has lifts which assist patrons with mobility difficulties to access all foyers.
QPAC has a number of wheelchairs available for patron use. These are available from staff at each designated visitor drop off area listed below.

Wheelchair seating
All QPAC venues have dedicated seating options for patrons in wheelchairs and their guests.
In order to ensure the best possible experience, it is essential we obtain all necessary information at the time of booking. Bookings for wheelchair seating can be made in person at the Box Office or by calling 136 246. To enquire please send an email to info@qtix.com.au.
Accessible Toilets
Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on ground level, Mezzanine, Lower Minstrel and Levels 2 and 4 of the Lyric Theatre and Concert Hall foyers and Level 1 for the Playhouse and Cremorne Theatre foyers.
Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs
QPAC welcomes patrons accompanied by guide, hearing or assistance dogs and our staff are trained to meet the needs of support dogs and their handlers.
Please notify the Box Office staff at the time of your booking if you are visiting QPAC accompanied by your support dog.
Hearing in the Theatre
All theatres are equipped with Sennheiser Infra-Red Sound Reinforcement. This system can assist patrons with all levels of hearing impairment including hearing aids.
The Sennheiser equipment can be obtained, free of charge, from any cloakroom.
Please notify us when making a booking on 136 246 or by calling Reception before you arrive on (07) 3840 7400 and our Front of House staff will ensure the system is ready for you to collect when you arrive.
Auslan Interpreted Performances-
Selected performances are professionally signed by Auslan interpreters. Bookings for Auslan interpreted performances are made through QPAC Group Sales: (07) 3840 7466 (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) or groups@qpac.com.au.
Audio-Described Performances-
Audio-described performances for patrons who are blind or have low vision. To purchase tickets to these audio-described performances phone QPAC group sales (07) 3840 7466 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or email groups@qpac.com.au
